Modular Design

Knobel has a unique modular design approach for all their moulding equipment. This format allows complete lines to evolve in stages. It is also possible to easily upgrade capacities or even to change the entire production line by adding additional depositors, conveyors and cooling towers in the open architecture of Knobel’s system.
     
      The moulding lines are based on loose moulds and are free of any chains or pushers to link the process steps. The cooling of filled moulds is accomplished in the patented cooling-spirals. The demoulding handles all the moulds independently, this allows the line to use a variety of moulds (polycarbonate moulds, vacuum-formed blisters, frames, etc.) at the same time. Demoulding is available onto a conveyor belt or directly into final packaging.
     
      Today you can run a One-Shot moulding-line and tomorrow you can produce shell moulded chocolates from a ColdPress® line, Knobel offers their customers a truly a modular design.

Tools

The unique and patented turning piston system is the heart of each depositor providing very accurate deposits and very small deposits when necessary. In the turning piston design the piston also acts as the valve, so there are no shafts across the width of the machine. Each piston can be individually disconnected. The depositors are easy to clean and designed for a quick change over. All Knobel depositors include the patented Nozzle-System capable to produce one-shot filled products. Very high center filling ratios are possible with servo motion of the nozzle; also with the correct attachment you may even produce double-filled products in triple-shot.

KCM Alpha Compact

The perfect tool for the Artisan production. Electrical Servo driven machine. Available machine types KCM 9, 12, 9/18 and 12/24.

KCM Alpha

The new generation of depositors. Heavy duty execution made for three shift operations. Either electrical Servo or hydraulic Servo driven. Any machine configuration is available from 12 to 100 pistons.

KCM Beta

Slim body depositor which is designed to replace existing units on 3rd party lines. Either electrical Servo- or hydraulic Servo driven. Available from 12 to 144 pistons.

KCM Gamma

Compact version of the KCM Delta with 100 mm smaller body and shorter X-axis motion, available from 12 to 144 pistons.

KCM Delta

The classical CAD-Depositor equipped with the latest technology, free programmable three axis control for any kind of motion and deposit, used for 3-D decorating. Either electrical Servo or hydraulic Servo driven, available from 12 to 144 pistons.

KCM Eta

Extended version of the KCM Delta with 150 mm deeper body and 300 mm Y-axis motion with 12 to 144 pistons.

KCM Theta

The Theta series is made for fast running lines and oven belts up to 1,500 mm width and has an extended X-motion of 500 mm, available with 12 to 144 pistons.

KCM ColdPress

Latest version of the patented ColdPress® system. New rim-press technology which allows multiple colors of Chocolate and compound to be pressed one mould. The ColdPress® is the ultimate solution for chocolate assortments and any other delicately shaped product. A variety of machines are available to suit everything from artisan style production with 275 mm moulds up to industrial applications with 1200 mm moulds. The dry air and the silver coated copper-tools guarantee shiny products with extraordinary shelf-life.

Flexibility

Knobel machines are so flexible they have even been used to manufacture Bouillon cubes.
